Our friend Carol had a birthday waaaaay back in March, and we were all set to go to her birthday dinner on the night that Rachel ended up having her finger mishap. It was supposed to be a farewell dinner before she and Steve moved to San Diego, so we were sorry to miss it. They were, of course, very understanding. I promised to ship Carol's gift, but life got in the way. I just managed to ship it LAST WEEK! Scandalous! Hopefully it got there alright and Carol will someday forgive me.
