"I Don't Speak Monkeeey...."

We were monkeys for Halloween Number Two. Last year, we were just tired little infants bundled into costumes. This time, we were a bit more game for some low-grade trick-or-treating. We hit up Aunt Vera and Uncle Walt, Aunt Judy, some neighbors, and Aarin and Donavan. At their house, we bumped into Kara Mae--the sassy black cat. She shared some of her Dots with us. How nice! I seem to have more pictures of Rachel. She was happy to stop and pose. Charlotte was on the move.

Ain't No Party Like a Purple Party...

...today was Becca's big 2nd birthday party, so we loaded up the van and headed up to Sacramento. Purple is Becca's new favorite thing, so it was a Purple Party! The girls love hanging out with "Kecca," and look forward to doing it again soon!

"Ta-ohr?"

This is an approximation of how we pronounce chair. We're venturing into that stage of toddlerhood when tons of 'words' begin to fly out. Sometimes you know what they are....sometimes you just plaster on a smile, nod emphatically, and say, "Yes! That's right!" Anyway, we've begun a new love affair with the glider in our bedroom, which has resulted in both the removal of our table lamp and the tearing-off of the stool cushion. Good times.

Pumpkin Patch: Part Deux

With Charlotte sick last Sunday, we rushed through the Pumpkin Patch to get her home. So we headed back out today so that the girls could enjoy the patch at their leisure. Warm day!

"Shoooooooooow!"

That's how we ask for a Baby Einstein or Baby Talk DVD. They love them. They've yet to gravitate toward Elmo, Sesame Street, or Little Einsteins, but we're in no hurry. It was a particularly lazy weekend day for Charlotte, so she pulled a pillow down and plopped. Kinda blurry, though.

The Rumors Were True!

My good friend Laura breezed through this weekend, and the girls got to have breakfast with her on Sunday (pre-Pumpkin Patch, and pre-sickness). My OTHER good friend Fran hosted, and I always feel so zen in her home. It's like a retreat. Laura left our sprawling Metropolis a few years back for Connecticut, and has now settled in Park City, Utah. I keep telling her to save me some room on the couch for The Sundance Film Festival. I miss her so!

The Pumpkin Patch

The inevitable visit to the Pumpkin Patch. Gorgeous day. Meeting with BFF Kara. Lots of flowers and pumpkins to behold. One happy baby. ....one sick baby. Poor Charlotte started running a fever when we got there and spent most of the time laying on her Grammy's shoulder. We made it a quick visit and tried to see if she wanted to sit with the pumpkins. That little face tells you the answer. She's all better now.

I really tried...

...to scrap these pictures, but it just wasn't flowin'. The girls are obsessed with "apooooos." Formerly known as "aps," apples have taken on a new life in our household. The girls wanted to try eating whole apples at Grammy's this morning, just like the little boy on their sign language video. They ate them down to the core!

Yummy and Fun.

Jen and I met at the Panera Baking Co. today for some lunch, then some shopping. We hit all KINDS of important places: Borders, JOANN, Target, etc... Target was clearancing out a lot of scrapbook stuff, so we grabbed some goodies. I love getting to see Jen and have some pallie time. We meet halfway, trucking along in our husband's car/truck, so that they can have the big cars with the baby seats. Good times.

Oh...and I got some pretty for my iPod. Neato.
