We did WalkAmerica today, and we rocked it! 6.2 miles--psh! PSH! Piece of cake! What a great event. Now that we know what to expect, we're going as "Team Rawlings" next year: PaPa, Grammy, Adrian, the girls, and whoever else we can drag along. A huge THANK YOU to all who donated to the cause. I raised $355! I set a measly goal of $200, never dreaming that I'd get such a good response! Group hug!!!!!

Mother's Day ABC book

I made an ABC book for both of the Grammies. I'm not going to post all of the pages here (though I may post them in my DigiShopTalk gallery later), but here are a few that I like:

Happy Mother's Day and the quest for the ultimate group shot...

Today marked the 2nd Annual Mother's Day Trek to Gilroy Gardens (formerly known as Bonfante Gardens). The girls were a bit off, trying to get used to the whole "now that the ride is over you must get OFF of the ride" thing, plus they had snotty colds. Otherwise, it was a very nice day with gorgeous weather! We tried to get another 3 Generations shot in the Monarch Sanctuary, but never really got Charlotte on board for the perfect photo. I still think we're cute!

"Up here...I'm already gone..."

Ohhh! I like this one! Kelli and Amy have tagged me to tell my 3 favorite places. Good one.

(1) I'm going to go with Amy on this one. MAUI. MAUIMAUIMAUI. As soon as you get off the plane, everything slowwwwws down. It's wonderful. We've been watching Lost a lot, so I'm constantly telling Adrian, who's never been, how absolutely wonderful it is. Barring a hurricane or volcanic eruption, there really is no such thing as a bad day there. We were there during Humpback migration, so we saw whales every day. I even got to say "Good Morning" to Willie Nelson drinking his morning coffee in his restaurant! (He's TINY, by the way).
I've been to Oahu, which is also gorgeous, but Maui is just the best.

Okay, I'd really like to say I have a sassy beach bikini shot, but sadly--no. Here I am in Hana with some unfortunate black slides, circa 1999 (?) ...so un-Maui

Very feathery hair, no? It's no easy feat to style your hair to match your lei, but I managed just fine!

(2) San Simeon/Cambria. I love the coast and love this whole area. Adrian and I have vacationed here quite a bit, and my mom and I like to do our girls' weekends down. there. My mom met Jack Lalane at Dorn's in Morro Bay! (We seem to be old celebrity magnets, the Price women). I like to pretend that I live in Hearst Castle and that's my view every morning. *sigh*

Sadly, we're unable to locate photographs of the aforementioned area. Please proceed to Number 3...

(3) San Fransisco. I just love the feel of San Fransisco. Love to walk the streets to shop, go to plays, eat at Cheesecake Factory, and see my Giants! Not to mention all of the other wonders: Golden Gate Park, The Palace of Fine Arts, Museums, Lombard St....I could go on and on!

Seriously...it looks like I just go places alone.

Literally. This is a cute freebie that I got from Lauren Reid's blog. She and several other designers have made tons of goodies for Kellie--a wonderful girl on my Twins forum--who lost her sweet son Miles a few months after he was born. The 2 year anniversary was just this past week, so these wonderful ladies have made kits and pages in his memory. I really did just plop some pictures in without journaling or word art. But I think we're awfully cute in pictures alone!

A Bowl of Bowsies

We had to run out to get goodies for our birthday dinner tomorrow, and found these cute little bows at Wal-Mart. I love these little girly bows, AND I'm getting much better at doing our hair! Grammy always has them in perfect coiffures, and I'm trying desperately to catch up.

After a long drought, I managed to scrap something. I converted the photo to b/w, so you can't see the Peep! Should I color it yellow? Credits can be found here.

Made me a blinkie!

Check it out! I made my very own "blinkie" for a digi scrap challenge. It's on my sidebar. Although, Adrian tells me I should just call it what it is--an animated GIF. Blinkie sounds cuter. We're sticking with blinkie.

More stuff=good!

I just love Target, don't you? I can hardly get out of there without at least a good armload of stuff. My parents were good enough to watch the girls while I went out in search of birthday goodies. While I've not quite settled on their "big gift" yet, I did pick up lots of cute party accessories! I also got some things that I can rave about:

I just love Method products. I've been having a hard time finding a good day-to-day cleaner to for our laminate flooring. I use the microfiber mop that our flooring people gave us, but their cleaner is SO expensive! I tried Orange Glow's product for laminate flooring, but it left a cloudy film. So, I've been whipping out the Hoover Floormate constantly, in an attempt to keep these floors "show-ready." It was getting old. So when I saw this product, designed to go with their O-Mop, I snatched it up. It's great and smells good, too! No film and clean floors!




I'm big fan of the Hungry Girl website (if you don't get their daily email, you're missing out!). They had nothing but glowing reviews for the new Quaker Minis. They're right--they're YUMMY! Actually, I've only tried the Chocolate Drizzle flavor, but it's so very good! You get a good amount of minis in each package. They seem to last longer than 100 cal. packs, and for the same amount of "points."

We met up with Jen, Becca, and Jen's mom Sue at Micke Grove Zoo today. The girls hadn't seen each other since this time last year! They were quite taken with each other and had much fun! Plus, we got spoiled with all kinds of belated Christmas gifts, as well as birthday gifts! What a wonderful day. We love you guys!

Today is my best friend Jen's birthday! She's the best. So creative, and such an amazing friend. This was one of our first forays into digital photography, back in college! Pale beauties, we were (and still are)! Happy Birthday, Jen!

....then comes Madison in a baby carriage! A big congratulations to our dear friends, Aarin and Donavan, on the arrival of their sweet baby girl. We've all been anxiously awaiting her, and she arrived fashionably late! I get to call her Maddie, as I'll obviously be her favorite honorary auntie. Well, I know she'll like me loads better than Megan.
