This is hard, people!

This whole 365 business is hard work--especially when life gets very busy. I'm trying my darndest to keep up with it. All is well with the Rawlings family. I will try to include some more updates on our goings-on more often.

First Trip to the Dentist's Office

The girls had their first trip to the dentist today. Well, their first trip to the hygenist. Dr. Boothe wasn't in yet, so they didn't get to meet him. They got to meet Jessica, our hygenist. She is outstanding with kids, and had so much fun showing them all of the things she was going to use. "Mr. Thirsty" was definitely a favorite. Both girls did very, very well and Mom and Dad even got kudos for taking good care of their teeth. The girls each got a lizard toy from the treasure chest, followed by bracelets from Jessica. I think she wanted them to have something 'girly' to go with their lizard.

We got some nice weather today, so we decided to have a play in the strip park behind our house. The smart people who lived there before us put in a gate so that we can just pop back there anytime we feel like it! I just wish it was a nicer park. It's been tagged quite a bit and is rather old. The girls don't seem to care.

Who has two thumbs and finished her first month of Project 365? This girl!

Lip-Smackin' Good

Thanks to Sabrina and her party favors, my girls now need a 12-step program for Lip Smacker addiction. Also of note, a rarely-seen Charlotte phenomenon--Wii Eyes.

The girls learned some cute poems/songs for their Christmas program, and we had videotaped them performing in our living room. Our stubborn camcorder won't let go of them, so I thought I'd make some new recordings.

Four little girlies, all in a row...

Everyone was over here this evening for the weekly game night. Here are the girls watching A Bug's Life in the playroom. I'm not sure what Kara Mae is showing Charlotte, but I think we all had teeth full of Cheetos and marshmallows. Rachel is Rachel, with her bow askew. And Maddie is gnawing on...something. Aren't they sweet?

Christmas.

We all had a wonderful Christmas, and I promise I'll share pictures soon. Right now, I'm just too full of sugar cookies, fudge, and Razzleberry pie to produce anything terribly coherent. I'll leave you with some Christmas Eve pictures.

note: both the 4th and 5th folders only had one picture in them, so I moved to the 6th folder and found a 4th picture. It's probably a sign that I need to consolidate some photos!
Here are the girls last Thanksgiving in Mariposa--they're watching the older twins in the family, Sawyer and Riley, ride their bikes with their brother. We were all dressed for our Christmas photo, which we take on Thanksgiving.


I'm getting several terse "Why haven't you updated your blog????" comments of late. I promise I'll get right on that! In the meantime, you may want to note that we've added a new friend to our list on the sidebar. Go make friends with the Bacas and their new baby Maggie, who is really too cute for words.
